Strengthening and Capacity Building for Tehran Special & Multi- purpose Disaster Management Bases
Following construction of bases, in line with finalization of the list of required equipment, equipping and stockpiling process has been launched by making shelves and compartments.
Up to now warehouses in many of the special and multi- purpose bases have been prepared and equipped as follows:
Preparation of warehouses:
- Making shelves and compartments for stockpiling equipment at 21 Special Disaster Management Bases;
- Making shelves and compartments for stockpiling equipment at 4 Supporting Provinces Disaster Management Bases;
- Making shelves and compartments for stockpiling equipment at 70 Multi- purpose Disaster Management bases at 22 districts of Tehran Municipality;
- Making shelves for 12 DAWAM containers at different Mahale;
Purchase of Equipment:
- To furnish the constructed bases by required appliances and furniture;
- To Coordinate for purchase of 52 rescue and relief items that proposed for Special Disaster Management Bases, to distribute purchased equipment to the bases and to make them operational and ready to use;
- To search for newly introduced equipment for completing the list of stockpiled equipment;
Training:
- To hold several know- how training sessions for each district's introduced staff (on how to work with, to fix and repair the stockpiled equipment)
- To prepare manuals for utilization of equipment;
Others:
- To find appropriate locations near the Special and Multi- purpose Disaster Management Bases for construction of helipads;
- To follow up introducing new places for construction of Bases at 22 districts;
- To coordinate for preparation of data bases at district level (including public and private facilities and Equipments and planning for their utilization in case of occurrence of earthquakes.
