Tehran Integrated Seismic Risk Reduction Program

Objective: Preparation and formulation of detailed plan for making Tehran Integrated Seismic Risk Reduction Program operational

To achieve this objective, it is necessary to revise and update seismic microzonation maps through completing different maps' layers of existing urban infrastructure and facilities and updating seismic hazards analysis and then based on the vulnerability assessment of urban elements including different types of buildings, Tehran seismic risks will be evaluated.

The program consists of three following components:

• Seismic risks reduction program for construction of new urban elements (Urban upcoming development)
• Seismic risks reduction program for existing urban elements
• Increasing public awareness on risks reduction
